Breaking news from Deadline overnight as they are reporting that Margot Robbie is soon to reprise her role as Harley Quinn. But not for the project you might be expecting. With Suicide Squad 2 and the Harley & Joker film still in development it’s a third project which has come to light.
Instead it would appear that Harley will soon be coming to the small screen in her own animated series. The trade exclusively reports that Warner Bros. has ordered 26 episodes of the half hour adult comedy. It is reported that the trio behind Powerless, Justin Halpern & Patrick Schumackerand Dean Lorey, will mastermind the series.
It won’t surprise you to learn the plan is for the Harley Quinn series to premiere on the DC Comics streaming platform which will house the Titans series and the third season of Young Justice.
