Sony Pictures as taken to Twitter to announce that the Venom @venommovie film is now officially in production! Launching the new account we get our first look at lead actor Tom Hardy presumably on the set of the film.
Whilst we wait for confirmation of the films cast there is heavy speculation that four-times Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams will be joining Hardy in some capacity. Jenny Slate, Reid Scott, Scott Haze and Riz Ahmed are all rumoured to also appear.

One of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.
Venom stars Tom Hardy in the lead role. Supporting cast includes Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott and Woody Harrelson. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) from a script by Scott Rosenberg & Jeff Pinkner. Executive producers are David Householter, the legendary Stan Lee and Kelly Marcel.
