Whilst The Defenders were capturing headlines with their first trailer Netflix quietly announced some other good news for Marvel fans. After two successful seasons there was finally confirmation that Charlie Cox will return as Daredevil for a third season.
More on the bubble was the Finn Jones vehicle Iron Fist. Whilst fan reaction was warm the reviews were not. The lukewarm reception led some to believe that his character would be sidelined to appearances in The Defenders series only. Well that just simply isn’t true as Netflix has confirmed that Iron Fist will return for a second season.
No news yet on when either series will return but with The Defenders premiering in August, The Punisher due in November and Jessica Jones currently filming her own second season its safe to say that neither will appear before 2018.
Iron Fist stars Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist. Co-starring with Jones are Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, and Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum. Carrie-Anne Moss and Rosario Dawson reprise their roles from the other Netflix Marvel series.
Daredevil stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil. Starring alongside Cox are Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Vincent D’Onforio as Wilson Fisk and Elodie Yung as Elektra.
