Last night the internet went in to overdrive as Warner Bros. announced that Matt Reeves will direct ‘The Batman’. Fans were concerned at Warner Bros. decision to not include a quote or any mention of Ben Affleck in the official press release.
Those fears were put to rest last night when Affleck himself tweeted Reeves to congratulate him on taking over the directors chair.

His tweet even included a nice screenshot straight from Batcave! DC Chief Geoff Johns was quick to echo Affleck’s comments:
I echo that @mattreevesLA ! https://t.co/mIlDb8ZGzY

Matt Reeves was, of course, thankful of the congratulations in his own tweet.
Ha! Thanks so much, man. So excited. https://t.co/h5hTJ2lwj3
