With filming on ‘Justice League’ all but completed the identity of the actor playing villain Steppenwolf has remained a closely guarded secret. That is until The Wrap yesterday broke the news that ‘Game of Thrones’ star Ciaran Hinds would be taking on the role.
The article explains that Hinds has recently wrapped motion capture filming on ‘Justice League’.
Fans will remember a crude version of Steppenwolf appeared in a deleted scene from ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’. Its safe to say his appearance will be somewhat evolved for his starring role in ‘Justice League’.
Plot details for the film still remain scarce. We understand that Steppenwolf will be hunting down the three motherboxes spread across the globe and which briefly appear in the Comic Con teaser (see it here).
‘Justice League’ stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. Joining them are Jason Mamoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash.
Directed by Zack Snyder, the film will hit cinemas on November 10, 2017.
