Robbie Reyes’ ‘Ghost Rider’ has been unveiled as an antagonist in the upcoming ‘Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’ Season 4.
Appearing atop the first promo poster for Season 4, the unmistakable flaming skull of Ghost Rider bears down on the agents indicating an explosive re-entry into the Marvel universe.
Depicted by Gabriel Luna, Robbie Reyes will premier alongside Agent Coulson, Quake, and other prominent members of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the season’s first episode.
Alongside the Season 4 premiere poster, fans have been treated to an ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ film trailer with Robbie Reyes, although not in full ‘Ghost Rider’ mode.
The 15 second trailer gives us a glimpse of Ghost Rider’s (semi) flaming Dodge Charger, tearing down the streets and what appears to be some no-good villains chained to a dungeon wall.
While we’re yet to see Robbie Reyes in full flame as the demonic skeleton in this incarnation, what we can see is that the action packed TV series is not afraid to draw more and more well-known icons into its sphere.
Not much else is known about the Spirit of Vengeance in this series as yet, however the series trailer suggests he may appear as much more than a cameo role.
Ending on the strapline ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: Ghost Rider,’ we can expect that Reyes will provide much more than just a one-episode cameo, and possibly play an ongoing part in the season 4 storyline.
Intriguingly, the ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ network ABC has now opted to broadcast its episodes from 10pm onwards. Having shown the series at 8pm in Season 1, and 9pm in season 2, it seems ABC may be looking to include darker and more harrowing content as the show develops.
‘Marvel: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Season 4 will premiere in the U.S on Tuesday 20th of September.
