Blade Runner:Black Lotus #4 is published by Titan Comics, written by Nancy Collins and illustrated by Enid Balam.

Issue #4 is available 2nd November 2022 either directly from Titan Comics online or from your local comic book store, digital copies will be available to download from the usual content providers.

    Synopsis

Based on the smash hit anime series, Blade Runner: Black Lotus Elle, aka Black Lotus, hoped she could leave her violent past behind and find a new life. But is that possible in a world where replicants are still hunted and feared?

    Review

In this issue we catch up with Elle as she manages to return to the compound after successfully taking down Boss Barnes and rescuing Nyoko and Kaja and returning them to Miguel reuniting the family once again. As the saying goes “if you cut the head off the snake another grows in it’s place” with Boss Barnes out of the picture Kozlov steps up full of furious vengence meaning the fight is not done just yet. Unfortunately in the compound with what was once a peaceful and safe haven is about to get shaken up by someone quiet close to home for Miguel, Elle can help but her staying is just making life more dangerous for the co-op, is it time to move on?

This series has been expertly written from the start, Nancy Collins provides a story that is emotionally driven with edge of the seat action. I’ve been a fan of the Blade Runner world ever since I watched the first film and I always wanted more and now thanks to the writing from Nancy I have become ingrossed in the comic world and look forward to exploring more. The strength of the character of Elle is inspirational and I look forward to see this character evolve further as the series continues.

Enid Balam provides the illustrations once again and staying with the running style that has been a mainstay throughout the series, a dystopia world brought to life with intense artwork that captures the action packed story perfectly.

    Verdict

I am a huge fan of this series as it continues to grow it gets better and better, if you want emotion and action then look no further as this is one of the best comics out there right now.
