Finally, an update from the world of Monsters and beasts. Godzilla and Kong may be gearing up for their comeback. It wasn’t that long ago that we received some information about the next installment in the colossal MonsterVerse franchise. While the project itself is still a bit of mystery, any news is good news. Yesterday delivered, what could be, the biggest bit of news yet… The next chapter in the MonsterVerse will be charging into cinemas on March 15th, 2024.
Yes, it’s still quite a while away. However, with filming happening in Queensland in Australia, we’re certain that we’ll be bombarded with more news very soon. Check out the official announcement below:
As of right now, the upcoming sequel is untitled. What we do know is that Adam Wingard, the director behind Godzilla vs Kong, will be back in the director’s chair for this sequel. Reuniting with Wingard is Dan Stevens who is set to star in this upcoming projects. Rumors still point towards a Son of Kong film, but without confirmation it’s incredibly difficult to guess what the next installment will focus on. Could we see more alien monsters from Godzilla’s long list of antagonists? Or could we be spending some quality time in the Hallow Earth with Kong? There’s simply so much to explore, hopefully things will become clearer in the coming months.
