Rounding out the weekend the Warner Bros. film took $16.7M on Sunday. Despite the strong showing ‘Kong: Skull Island’ still fell well short of 2014’s ‘Godzilla’. That film took $93.1M in its opening weekend.

Whilst in its second weekend ‘Logan’ took an estimated $10.3M on Friday, $16.3M on Saturday and $11.1M on Sunday. That brings its second weekend total to $37.8M. Overall the film is now sitting at over $150M in under ten days.

Globally the film has manage to claw in and estimate $142.6M in its opening weekend. ‘Logan’ remains in 79 territories worldwide and added another $70.3M to its total. The international total is now $285.6M.

Worldwide ‘Logan’ has currently made $436.6M.

‘Logan’ stars Hugh Jackman, Sir Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keen, Boyd Holbrook, Eriq La Salle, Stephen Merchant, Elise Neal and Elizabeth Rodriguez & Richard E. Grant. The film is directed by James Mangold and scripted by David James Kelly.

‘Kong: Skull Island’ stars Tom Hiddleston (The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World), Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, Avengers: Age of Ultron), John Goodman (Transformers: Age of Extinction, Argo), Oscar winner Brie Larson (Room, Trainwreck), Jing Tian (Police Story: Lockdown), Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), John Ortiz (Steve Jobs), Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton), Jason Mitchell (Straight Outta Compton), Thomas Mann (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl), with Terry Notary (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) and Oscar nominee John C. Reilly (Chicago, Guardians of the Galaxy).

Vogt-Roberts directed the film from a screenplay by Dan Gilroy and Max Borenstein and Derek Connolly, story by John Gatinn. ‘Kong: Skull Island’ is produced by Thomas Tull, Mary Parent, Jon Jashni and Alex Garcia, with Eric McLeod and Edward Cheng serving as executive producers.
