Following the Arrow panel it was the turn of the Supergirl cast and crew to take the limelight at San Diego Comic Con. The assembled attendees had plenty to show off to the crowds including our first official look at Kara’s new costume!
The panel was moderated by Jon Cryer who appeared last season as Lex Luthor. In some playful back-and-forth with executive producer Robert Rovner it was confirmed Cryer will return in season 5.
“The character I played died, which is really sad, because I don’t know if you know anything about comics, but if a character is dead, they’re dead,” Cryer joked.
“Lex Luthor is coming back. We’re excited to have you back. Hopefully you can stick around.” Rovner replied.
It was also announced that Meghan Rath (Hawaii Five-0) is joining the series as a female Brainiac-5, Julie Gonzalo (Dodgeball) is cast as Andrea Rojas, a.k.a. Acrata, and final Star Nair (Game of Thrones) will be playing a new, original character named William Dey.

Following the panel the first official image of Kara in her new costume was released online. What do you think? We think she looks pretty bad-ass!
