Home Entertainment for the first time in the UK on beautiful highly-collectable 4K UHD Blu-ray and SteelBook on December 14, 2026.
From the legendary director of sci–fi blockbusters E.T, Jurassic Park and Disclosure Day, and based on the short story Super-Toys Last All Summer Long by Brian Aldiss, A.I. Artificial Intelligence is a futuristic take on the Pinocchio story, about a robot boy wanting to become human. Stanley Kubrick, fascinated with the burgeoning technology of artificial intelligence, which he had already explored in his film 2001: A Space Odyssey, had been developing the project for years, and Spielberg took the reins after Kubrick’s death in 1999. The innovative film features jaw–dropping Oscar®–nominated visual effects and a superb Oscar®-nominated John Williams score, and stars Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense), Jude Law (The Talented Mr Ripley), Francis O’Connor (Mansfield Park), Brendan Gleeson (In Bruges), and William Hurt (Broadcast News).
In the not-so-distant future, David, a robot with actual human feelings, especially a never-ending love for his “mother,” Monica, is adopted as a substitute for her real son, who, afflicted with an incurable disease, remains in “cryo-stasis.” David lives happily with Monica and her husband, but when the couple’s real son returns home after being cured, David’s life changes dramatically.
