The Grinch (Animated) steals the spotlight atop the Official Film Chart once again. Featuring vibrant animation and a playful reimagining of Dr. Seuss’s iconic tale, the film follows the Grinch’s elaborate plans to ruin Christmas for Whoville, only to discover the deeper meaning of the festive season. Its mix of mischief, heart and humour makes it a perennial holiday favourite.

Dropping into Number 2, Wicked remains one of the chart’s strongest performers. This lavish musical brings the world of Oz to life through a rich backstory exploring the friendship and rivalry between Glinda and Elphaba. Packed with spectacular set pieces and emotional ballads, it continues to draw in fans of both the stage and screen.

The Polar Express makes its traditional seasonal surge leaping into Number 3. The animated adventure, brought to life through pioneering motion-capture techniques, takes viewers on a magical journey to the North Pole aboard a mysterious Christmas Eve train. Its themes of belief, wonder and childhood imagination remain timeless.

This week’s biggest mover, Downton Abbey – The Grand Finale, rises from 27 last week to Number 4, an impressive 23 place jump. Serving as a heartfelt conclusion to the Crawley family saga, the film delivers elegant period drama, emotional reunions, and a sense of closure for long-time fans. Its refined storytelling and rich ensemble performances have reignited interest in the beloved franchise.

Climbing into seasonal territory, Elf continues its joyful run (5). Will Ferrell’s exuberant performance as Buddy the Elf anchors this modern holiday classic, blending slapstick humour with warm themes of belonging, family and festive cheer.

Jurassic World – Rebirth (6) expands the franchise’s ambitious premise of humans and dinosaurs coexisting. With exhilarating action sequences, new prehistoric creatures and global-scale dilemmas, the film pushes the series into bold new terrain.

Holding firm at Number 7, Nobody 2 brings Hutch Mansell back into action. The sequel blends sharp comedic timing with gritty, stylised fight sequences as Hutch faces escalating threats tied to both his past and his family’s future.

Thid weeks new entry places Dracula at Number 8, entering with supernatural intrigue. This fresh adaptation draws inspiration from Bram Stoker’s classic novel while introducing modern storytelling twists, atmospheric tension and a chilling portrayal of the infamous vampire’s return.

Staying in the race at Number 9, F1 The Movie continues to deliver high-speed thrills. The film offers an inside look at elite motorsport through pulse-pounding racing sequences, intense rivalries and the immense pressure placed on drivers competing at the highest level.

Closing out the Top 10, Bridget Jones – Mad About the Boy remains a warm and witty presence. This new chapter finds Bridget juggling motherhood, modern dating and unexpected turns in her personal life. With its familiar charm and emotional candour, it offers both humour and heart.
