After plenty of casting news, HBO programming president, Casey Bloys, has finally announced when the Game of Thrones prequel still begin production.
Speaking to EW Bloys said production will film through the summer of 2019. The network is currently targeting a 2020 and possibly 2021 release date for the series.
It is rumoured a writers room has been setup in the event that the network decides to order addition episodes beyond the current planned run.
The series is set to star Naomi Watts (The Ring) in the lead role and Poldark actor Josh Whitehouse as one of the series male leads. No premiere date for the series has been set.
