In a week with few new releases, Warner Bros. has return to the top of the pile with Joker. After slipping in to second place behind Maleficent: Mistress of Evil last week the Todd Philips won’t the weekend by a reported $400k. Joker grossed an estimated $18.9m across the three-day weekend, according to BoxOfficeMojo the Disney sequel starring Angelina Jolie came in second with $18.5m. Joker’s now finds itself outgrossing Wonder Woman at the worldwide box office as its global tally reaches $850m. Whilst Maleficent’s domestic tally now totals $65.4m. A new post from Disney Parks Blog (picked up by ComicBookMovie) has revealed the location of the Death Star seen in the latest Star Wars trailer. In The Rise of Skywalker’s final trailer we got confirmation that part of the film will take place in the remains of the Death Star last seen in Return of the Jedi. Overnight Deadline has confirmed that Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger has officially been cancelled at Freeform. The series wrapped its second season back in May.
