The first episode of DC Universe’s Swamp Thing premieres two weeks today! In celebration the streaming service has released this intense new trailer for the series. Alongside yesterday’s trailer (below) for Batwoman we also got a couple of new stills from the pilot episode. The first image comes directly from a scene in the trailer as Kate Kane and Luke Fox stood in front of the Batman suit. Thanks to this image we have a much better idea about this latest incarnation of the iconic costume. Variety exclusively reported overnight that Remember Me actor Robert Pattinson has been cast as the lead in the Matt Reeves directed movie. According to the report Pattinson signed on despite an unfinished script which Reeves continues to polish as the movie gears up to enter pre-production. At today’s upfront presentation for The CW the network confirmed which nights all our favourite DC Comics shows will be returning on. It is now also confirmed which night Batwoman will be airing. In a surprise move Batwoman will air Sundays at 8pm EP/PT, followed by Supergirl Season 5 at 9pm EP/PT. It had been expected that Batwoman would air in a later slot to allow for darker plot lines so this news certainly comes as a surprise. Black Lightning Season 3 will air Mondays at 9 pm ET/PT. During today’s upfront presentation for The CW network, president Mark Pedowitz also dropped the news that an animated Deathstroke series in the works. Deathstroke is expected to premiere on The CW Seed which played home to both the Vixen and Constantine animated series in past years. No news on the series has been confirmed but if it follows the formula set by previous series Manu Bennett will be returning to voice the character. The movie hits digital platforms on July 20, follow by the Blu-ray and 4K UHD which will hit stores on August 13.
