Last night Disney held the star-studded premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in America and now we’ve had the first social media reactions to the film. Total Film Magazine has debuted a first look at its upcoming issue and some familiar faces adorn the latest cover. The latest issue of the film mag features the heroes of Warner Bros. The final box office numbers for last weekend are in and it seems that Jumanji: The Next Level (reviewed here) was able to far surpass expectations. Going in to the weekend the film had been expected to gross around $40-50m but the final figures show that the Sony Pictures release, in fact, grossed $60.1m. That figure takes the crown as Sony’s largest December opening surpassing the $52.7m grossed by the previous Jumanji back in 2017. Warner Bros. Animation – via IGN – has just released this first trailer for the upcoming Superman: Red Son animated film. Due for release in 2020 the film adapts the comic book of the same name from from writer Mark Millar and artists Dave Johnson and Kilian Plunkett.
