The Showtime network in North America has debuted a first look at the upcoming Penny Dreadful: City of Angels. The series has been described as a “spiritual descendent” of the original series which aired from 2014-2016 on the network. The series is set in 1938 Los Angeles, “a time and place deeply infused with social and political tension,” says the network.
