In recent years Sony Pictures has found a new wave of creative energy in its burgeoning Spider-verse slate of films. Though these spin-off films haven’t been officially labelled so by the studio, we’re seeing small links between films creeping in over time. Shortly after Aladdin hit the big screen rumours began to swirl that Disney was looking to potentially make a sequel to its latest hit, live-action remake. Recently we heard that Lionsgate had green lit a sequel to 2019’s incredibly successful Knives Out. Now, in a new interview with Variety, director Rian Johnson has briefly commented on plans for the sequel.
