Great news for Disney and partners Lucasfilm as The Rise of Skywalker has finally crossed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office. As the film hit half way through its fourth week in cinemas it, unofficially but very likely, cross the huge box office milestone. Having taken $3.4m in North America on Monday the ninth film in the Skywalker Saga was sitting at $996.5m worldwide. As international figures aren’t revealed until the weekend it is very safe to say that by Wednesday the film was sitting at around $1.01b worldwide. Congratulations to J.J. Last night the stars of Star Trek: Picard hit the white carpet in London’s Leicester Square for the series’ gala premiere. Sir Patrick Stewart was joined by cast members Michelle Hurd, Isa Briones, Harry Treadaway, Eva Evagora and returning cast Jeri Ryan and Jonathan Del Arco.
