The Geoff Johns panel at todays San Diego Comic Con was not one to be missed. The writer/producer announced that his Mad Ghost production company will be bringing Stargirl to the DC Universe streaming service. Earlier this year we found out that Batwoman was coming to The CW. At that stage we understood the character would be joining all the other DCTV characters for this years big cross-over week. Following this years “Crisis on Earth-X” storyline we learnt our heroes would be venturing to Gotham and meeting the costumed hero. Following a controversial footage leak a couple of weeks ago we finally have our first official look at the new Doctor Who. Jodie Whittaker takes over from Peter Capaldi when the series picks up later this year. Whittaker will be joined by Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole and Bradley Walsh as new companions. A new report from That Hashtag Show has brought us some fresh news on Star Trek 4. Not to be confused with the Quentin Tarantino Trek movie this would be a direct sequel to 2016’s Star Trek Beyond. The report claims the film has hired director S.J. Clarkson (The Defenders, Jessica Jones) to take on the latest instalment. If confirmed Clarkson would take over from Justin Lin. It is also said the script features two prominent female villains. Recent rumours point to the studio chasing The Walk Dead and Black Panther star Danai Gurira to take on one of those roles. Today The Wrap is carrying a story which might confirm the line-up for the Birds of Prey movie. According to their exclusive report the film will feature Harley Quinn, Black Canary, Huntress, Cassandra Cain, and detective Renee Montoya. Noticeably absent if Barbara Gordon. We had heard her version of Batgirl would not be making an appearance but this is the first time we’ve heard she may not appear at all. EW already went ahead and gave us our first official look at Zachary Levi in Shazam! Now the trade has released a second image to whet our appetites for this weekend’s first trailer. Giving us another look at Levi in costume this one gives us a much better look at the detailing. There’s a Superman-like quality to the material. It also looks much less padded in this image.
