It doesn’t seem all that long ago that Sony announced a release date for its reboot of The Crow. The movie was set to star Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Corin Hardy (The Hallow) was set to direct. That release date was October 11th, 2019. Now news has broken that both Hardy and Momoa have exited the project. Deadline is reporting that Sony Pictures were in talks to exit the project due to financial issues. Disney/Pixar has debuted the first clip from The Incredibles 2. Shared via the films official Twitter channel the clip shows the famous family taking on the Underminer. It’s been almost 15 years since The Incredibles hit our screens in 2004. That film ended with Mr Incredible, Elastigirl and their children about to do battle with Underminer. It has been another successful year for the DCTV slate. On The CW all five main shows have been picked up for new seasons. Gotham has been renewed for a fifth and final season. iZombie will also be ending but without unnecessary cancellation. It also seems there may be hope for Lucifer to return. Star Tom Ellis has told British journalists that “conversations have started” to bring the show back. Though the film has been and gone from cinemas Universal Pictures is still repping Pacific Rim: Uprising. The sequel to 2013s sleeper hit from Guillermo del Toro fell slightly short of expectations. Back in 2013 the original Pacific Rim grossed $411m at the worldwide box office. Uprising, which was directed by Steven S. DeKnight, took a disappointing $288m including an embarrassing $59m from North America. A new rumour courtesy of Justin Kroll (Variety) has given us an idea of just who might be the villain in The Batman. Kroll sent out the following tweet last night which points to Warner Bros. having The Penguin at the top of the list of villains to feature in the movie. As always these rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt. Whilst Han Solo struggles to conquer the box office Deadpool 2 is going going strong. Despite a lofty 65% drop in its second weekend the Merc has now officially crossed $500m worldwide. On its eleventh day in release the film crossed $218.5m taking its global tally to $505m. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star Jamie Foxx has been confirmed to take the lead in the reboot of Spawn. The Todd McFarlane property was confirmed last year to be entering production on a new movie.
