There has been plenty of rumours regarding the release of a trailer for X-Men: Dark Phoenix. We’ve also heard sporadic reports of 20th Century Fox showing the trailer at media events across the globe. One such report came from a cinema convention in Russia. Now footage of that trailer being screened has leaked online. We won’t post the link to the trailer here. A simple search on Reddit will find you the video. The Birds of Prey movie has officially been dated for release by Warner Bros. and DC Films. The Cathy Yan directed project will arrive in cinemas on February 7, 2020. A rumour was doing the rounds that the film would be released on Valentines Day (Feb 14) but with Bond 25 moving to that date it appears Warner Bros. has decided to avoid putting the two in direct competition. Still no news on official casting for the movie but we expect Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn to be joined by Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya. Rumours still point to an “unnamed crime lord” being the films villain.…

Filming continues on Todd Phillips Joker in New York and in the latest batch of set photos we get our first look at Zazie Beetz. The Deadpool 2 actress is playing Sophie Dumond, a single mother who catches the eye of Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck. Rumours point to the pair living in the same building after Fleck returns home to care for his ailing mother. Whilst the planned merger with Disney rolls on 20th Century Fox has officially announced Kingsman 3. The movie has also been dated for release on November 9, 2019. The studio has announced that Matthew Vaughn will return to write and direct the third instalment in the franchise. Whilst little is known about the story of this movie Vaughn has previous described it as “the conclusion of the Harry Hart/Eggsy relationship.” Taron Egerton and Colin Firth are both expected to return. Development hell is a term which could be used to describe a great many movies. Some never see the light of day, others but in regrettable fashion. Now a comic book movie which many expected never to see appears to have a start date for production… Yes Gambit, the X-Men spin-off movie, is now rumoured to begin production in the very near future. Omega Underground is reporting that the studio is about to make new production hires ahead of a February 2019 kick off for filming. Overnight the crew of Joker appear to have been working hard on a riot sequence set in a Gotham subway station. Thankfully for us there are plenty of set photos and videos which have been released thanks to TMZ. Todd Phillips may have released the makeup test video knowing that location shooting would mean photos of Phoenix in makeup would be leaked sooner rather than later. Last night Joker director Todd Phillips broke the internet with a short video featuring lead Joaquin Phoenix. The video, captioned “Camera test (w/sound). Joker.” shows the actor dressed in the role of Arthur. As videos of a creepy looking clown are projected over the top of him he slowly cracks a smile. At the videos end it jumps to show Phoenix in full Joker clown makeup. Whether this is the final look or a sneaky peek at a specific stage in the characters development it looks very cool.
