We’re just two weeks away from the premiere of 2018 DCTV crossover Elseworlds. The CW has finally released the synopses for the three episodes which make up the event. Typically the third part, Supergirl, has a rather short and unforgiving synopsis which will give nothing away. The Arrow synopsis mentions that Barry, Oliver and Kara will be meeting Kate Kane. Interestingly we’ve yet to see any of Ruby Rose outside of her Batwoman persona. It remains to be seen how much of an important role alter-ego Kate will play in the story. Earlier in the week Sony Pictures announced that Venom is coming to home video in December. Along with releasing a new trailer we got a sneaky peak at the cover art for the UHD and Blu-ray versions of the release. The legendary stories of Roald Dahl are no stranger to popular culture adaptions. Plenty of big screen adaptions of stories such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda have delighted fans over the years. Now Netflix is getting in on the action. The streaming service has announced animated adaptations of Dahl’s stories in a joint press release with The Roald Dahl Story Company along with a video announcement on YouTube. According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter Sony Pictures has some big plans for its animated Spider-Man universe. With Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse generating some serious buzz ahead of its December release it seems more movies are in the works. It’s been revealed that Lauren Montgomery (Batman: Year One) is in talks with Sony to take the helm of a Spider-Woman animated movie. It is expected the character will front a female team movie possibly also starring Spider-Gwen who has proven a hit with fans. Though Venom only hit cinemas in October Sony Pictures is looking to capitalise on the films surprise popularity. With the movie still currently in cinemas Sony has taken the unusual step to announce it will hit home video in December. Venom will arrive on digital platforms on December 11 and Blu-ray/DVD on December 18 in North America. Hot off the press DC Universe has just released this new trailer for the Young Justice: Outsiders season premiere. The show returns for its third season on January 4 exclusively on DC Universe in North America with international details yet to be announced.
