HBO has formally announce that its Watchmen series is now in production. Filming on the series pilot has been going on for some time but it appears filming on the full season is now underway. The network debuted the shows logo and this first teaser footage via a new, official Instagram account (below). Today we have two bits of casting news for the show. Relative newcomer Jack Bannon will be taking on the role of the young Alfred Pennyworth. Warner Bros. has announced that Aquaman will be released in China on December 7, 2018. That’s a full two weeks before the North American release on December 21. For those keeping score that’s only one week before the UK release which is currently slated for December 14. Securing a release in The Middle Kingdom is great news for Aquaman which will surely benefit from an injection of box office cash from the Chinese market. Venom is finally coming to The Middle Kingdom! It has been announced overnight that movie will make its way to Chinese shores from November 9, 2018. The film, which was 25% financed by Chinese company Tencent, is expected to being marketing as early as today. It seems we may not have seen the last of Finn Jones as Danny Rand. Overnight EW has confirmed the star WILL return in the role across the remaining Marvel Netflix series. No news yet on when and where this will happen but the trade quotes insiders as saying Jones “will continue to appear in the Marvel universe.” We believe he is most likely to appear on the soon-to-be-confirmed third season of Luke Cage.
