It was overall a good night for Marvel at last nights BAFTA awards here in London. Following Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse picking up the award for Best Animated Film it was then the turn of Black Panther to pick up a win or two. Ryan Coogler’s movie picked up the award for Best Visual Effects beating out Marvel Studio’s own Avengers: Infinity War to scoop the prize. Congratulations to the cast and crew of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse who last night took home the Bafta for Best Animated Movie. The Sony Pictures release was nominated alongside Disney/Pixar’s Incredibles 2 and Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs. Sad news for The Walking Dead fans tonight as actress Danai Gurira has confirmed will soon exit the series. THR reports that the actress, who’s star has been rising fast following her appearance in Black Panther, will remain with the show through the end of season 9.
