EW has confirmed that the Game of Thrones prequel series – tentatively titled The Long Night – has entered production. The series is shooting in Northern Ireland, which served as the production of hub for GoT during its entire run. No news yet on whether the series will visit any of the other regular locations used by the original show. It’s been a couple of years since Marvel Studios brought the house down in Hall H at San Diego Comic Con. In recent years the studio has skipped SDCC in order to focus on the D23 conference from Disney. But overnight Deadline has reported that Marvel will absolutely have some kind of presence this year. Alex Kurtzman has recently found himself in charge of the small screen Star Trek universe. The prouder recently appeared on the Deadline podcast and gave fans a huge download of information on upcoming Trek projects. Speaking of plans for multiple upcoming animated projects Kurtzman explained that a series with Nickelodeon has just completed its first storyboard artwork. Meanwhile the previously announced Lower Decks has brought on board Rick & Morty’s Mike McMahan for writing duties. Marvel has announced that Black Panther’s new team, the Agents of Wakanda, will be launching their own series in September of this year.
