The countdown to Batwoman has finally reached its endgame. We’re now a little over 24hrs away from the pilot episode making its TV debut. In the latest casting announcement, TV host Rachel Maddow has joined the cast of The CW show.
According to THR Maddow will be taking on the role of Gotham TV and radio personality Vesper Fairchild.
Maddow shared her excitement on her Twitter, saying, “I know no one’s going to believe this is true, but it’s true. I’m ‘Vesper Fairchild’ in the new Batwoman TV show that starts this Sunday night on The CW. (My character is soooo not me; turns out playing her is one of the most fun things I’ve ever done).”
In the comics Fairchild becomes romantically involved with Kate Kane (Ruby Rose).
Batwoman stars Ruby Rose as Kate Kane/Batwoman. The series co-stars Dougray Scott, Elizabeth Anweis, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Nicole Kang and Rachel Skarsten.
The series is set to premiere on The CW in North America on Sunday, October 6, 2019.
