VIZ Media, in partnership with Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions Co., Ltd. (ShoPro), has officially released the first teaser footage, key visuals, and lead voical cast for the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Keigo Shinzo’s award-winning slice-of-life manga, Hirayasumi.
Set to premiere in Japan in January 2027 (with international streaming details coming soon), the series is being animated by Production +h.—the acclaimed studio behind The Orbital Children and Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction.

The new teaser trailer offers fans their first glance at the animation in motion, tracing Hiroto’s breezy daily routines against the backdrop of Asagaya, his bond with “Granny,” and Natsumi’s arrival in Tokyo to start art school.
Meet the Lead Voice Cast
Along with the poster and second teaser trailer, VIZ Media announced the vocal talent bringing these beloved characters to life:
Yuma Uchida as Hiroto Ikuta: Uchida (Jujutsu Kaisen, BANANA FISH, BLUE LOCK) stars as the carefree, 29-year-old part-timer. Unbothered by future anxieties or having a full-time job, Hiroto takes life one step at a time—though he takes deciding what to eat for dinner very seriously!

Mayu Takahashi as Natsumi Kobayashi: Takahashi (The Legendary Hero Is Dead!) voices Hiroto’s 18-year-old cousin who moves from Yamagata to attend art school. Shy and harboring secret dreams of becoming a manga artist, her serious nature often clashes with Hiroto’s easygoing attitude.
