After dropping a tantalising new poster yesterday afternoon, overnight the D23 convention has brought us a bleak new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. The film continues to be on track for a cinematic clash with Dune: Part Three, both releasing in UK cinemas on December 18, 2026.
The new trailer opens with Doom (Robert Downey Jnr.) sitting on his Latverian throne and alongside the tapestry seen in a previous poster for the film. Narration from Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) once again explains to the audience that at some point in the recent past Doom lost everything. There’s a quick succession of shots showing destruction across the multiverse and major characters including Magneto (Ian McKellen), Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Gambit (Channing Tatum). The trailer culminates in moments from the Thor (Chris Hemsworth) versus Doom fight, only this time we get to see the villain raising an army of Sentinels!
