After being first announced back in June, upcoming Star Trek sim-builder, Star Trek: Outposts Unknown, has now revealed a first look at its gameplay in a brand new trailer. The game, developed by Magic Fuel Games and Playstack, is set to release on PC and Mac via Steam and console later in 2026.
The extended look at the game features a tonne of new gameplay footage which explores the mechanics of maintaining a Starfleet outpost on the outer fringes of the known galaxy. As anticipated the game will build on classics like Sim City, tasking players to manage supplies and maintain not only the development of the base but the management and needs of its crew.

It has been confirmed that the game is set in the 23rd century, taking design aesthetics from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Whether any characters from that series, apart from an already confirmed Admiral Robert April, may make an appearance.
A release date for the game has yet to be confirmed but we know it will be releasing on PC and Mac via steam and will be available on consoles.
