Here’s one we didn’t see coming. This year’s 60th anniversary of Star Trek just got a little more exciting with the announcement of a brand new game crossing over life in Starfleet with classic building sim, Sim City. The game, from Magic Fuel Games and Playstack, has a demo available now on PC with a release date set to be announced in the near future.
In Star Trek: Outposts Unknown, players take command of the outpost builder-ship, the U.S.S. Resonant, leading a crew across strange new worlds shaped by iconic Star Trek technology, scientific discovery, and interstellar mystery. As exploration expands across the system, a mysterious cosmic force threatens a new ally, requiring careful leadership, coordination of crew, and strategic planning.

Whilst we know Star Trek: Outposts Unknown will release on PC and Mac, the developers have also confirmed it will be available on consoles, though which ones has yet to be confirmed. We’ll bring you more on this news as it is announced.
