Later this year Sony Pictures hopes to jump start its Resident Evil franchise with a dose of adrenaline from visionary filmmaker Zach Cregger. The mind behind Barbarian and Weapons will bring his vision for the 30 year-old franchise to cinemas in early Autumn 2026.
In an all-new story, Resident Evil follows Bryan (Austin Abrams), a medical courier who unwittingly finds himself in an action-packed, non-stop race for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.
