Paramount+ has announced that Dan Stevens (Legion, Abigail) has joined the cast of Dexter: Resurrection season 2 as a series regular. Stevens joins an already busy cast alongside Michael C. Hall and the returning Uma Thurman from season 1.
Stevens will play “The Five Borough Killer,” a serial killer who, much like Zodiac, taunts the police with phone calls threatening the murder of innocent citizens. When he follows through with the awful deeds…the city and the police are terrorised. He ost recently starred in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, as well as the indie film, Cuckoo. Upcoming, he will lead and serve as an executive producer for the horror, limited anthology series, The Terror: Devil in Silver. Additionally, Stevens will reunite for a third time with director Adam Wingard for the film Onslaught and will appear in the movie Babies directed by Lauren Miller Rogan.
In addition to Stevens’ casting, Paramount+ recently announced that Brian Cox will join this season as “The New York Ripper,” a serial killer who terrorised the city years ago, and Uma Thurman will reprise her role as Charley, the former Special Ops officer who fled the city last season.
From Emmy®-nominated showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips, the series stars SAG and Golden Globe® winner Michael C. Hall (Dexter®, Six Feet Under) in the titular role of Dexter Morgan.
