Earlier today we brought you a first look at poster artwork for Kane Parsons’ mysterious sci-fi horror project Backrooms. Now A24 has released a teaser trailer for the film, set to hit UK cinemas on May 29, 2026.
The film is Parsons directorial debut and comes from a screenplay by DMZ showrunner Roberto Patino and Will Soodik. Clues can be found in Parsons’ YouTube series, also called Backrooms, which focusses on the urban legend of the same name. The new theatrical version will star Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, Mark Duplass, Finn Bennett, Lukita Maxwell, and Avan Jogia.
