It looks like we may finally know who is penning the script for DC Studios’ Batman: The Brave and the Bold! After several days of rumours on social media Deadline and several other Hollywood trades are reporting that Christina Hodson is currently on board, bringing the script to life.
We’ve been watching rumours circling on social media as various scoopers have shared so-called insider information that Hodson, writer of Bumblebee and Birds of Prey, was on board. With some reporting that she has been working on the script as far back as autumn 2025. With the trades now jumping on board to confirm the news it seems the news is official.
The studio is in no rush to bring this version of the Caped Crusader to the screen with Matt Reeves’ The Batman: Part 2 currently set to go into production in 2026 for an October 2027 release.
Hodson is no stranger to the DC Universe having also worked on the screenplay for the scrapped Batgirl film as well as The Flash. She is also reportedly working on the script for the long-gestating sequel to Fast X.
DC Studio heads James Gunn and Peter Safran are producing The Brave and the Bold with The Flash’s Andy Muschietti still attached to direct.
