Finally. We received our first poster for Takashi Yamazaki’s upcoming Godzilla Minus Zero, a direct sequel to Minus One and the 39th film in the colossal Godzilla franchise. The poster doesn’t give anything away (typical) but it certainly has led to a lot of speculation. The first poster in its simplicity is just an array of clouds being lit by Godzilla’s blue atomic breath. Since Godzilla is last seen going through a transformation of his own, it’s unclear whether his design will remain the same- if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
On top of a poster, we also received the sequel’s release date. Check out the fulk poster below which was shared via the official Godzilla Toho Instagram account.
Godzilla Minus Zero is set to be released in North America from November 6th, 2026. While a UK release date is currently unknown, Toho has acquired the UK anime distributor Anime Limited so it is very likely that they’ll want to push for a similar release, especially given how popular Minus One was overall.
We don’t really know much about this sequel and the first movie certainly left us with a few unanswered questions. But right now, our biggest question is whether Godzilla will be alone in this sequel, or could we be looking at another Kaiju joining the fight? What do you think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more news. We’ll be sure to keep you all updated.
