Boy is it a tough time for Marvel Studios right now. Following leaks of the first teasers for Avengers: Doomsday and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, this morning the studios is facing the leak of Doomsday’s second teaser.
With fan-cam footage seemingly confirming Steve Rogers’ return to the MCU now circulating online. It appears the second Doomsday trailer will see the return of the MCU’s other favourite Chris… Chris Hemsworth. Audio, reportedly captured in a cinema where the second teaser is already playing, appears to confirm the trailer centres on Thor praying to his father, Odin, to ward off an oncoming threat.
“Of all the crowns, the kingdoms, the pride, I ask for none“ says Hemsworth in the trailer. “Father, hear your son. I am not worthy of life, but still I beg you to let the thread lengthen. Not for thunder, not for war… let me remain long enough to see my love once more.”
If the rumours turn out to be true then it’s just a matter of time before we find out who the subjects of the third and fourth trailers will be. Remember that, for now, if you want to see any of the new Doomsday footage you’ll need to buy a ticket to watch Avatar: Fire & Ash at the cinema.
The Avengers: Doomsday cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, and Robert Downey Jr.
Longtime Marvel collaborators Anthony and Joe Russo direct Avengers: Doomsday, releasing in UK cinemas on December 18, 2026.
