Paramount+ has this morning released the official trailer for the upcoming original UK series The Revenge Club, ahead of its exclusive debut on Paramount+ in UK and Ireland on 12th December.

Starring Martin Compston, Aimée-Ffion Edwards and Meera Syal, the darkly comic six-part series is produced by Gaumont and follows six lonely, hapless strangers brought together by a divorce support group, each reeling from betrayal and heartbreak. With little in common beyond their emotional baggage, they form an unlikely bond and come up with a wildly misguided idea: to take revenge on the people who broke their hearts. What starts as a cathartic outlet quickly spirals into something far more chaotic, as their retribution escalates from petty pranks – forged exam papers, tarot cons, and rat invasions – to deadly accidents. As the group’s plans grow bolder, the line between justice and chaos begins to blur – and someone might just take things too far. THE REVENGE CLUB is a wickedly fun revenge thriller that dares to ask: what if getting even felt better than falling in love?

Watch the brand new trailer in the player below:

Leading the cast are Martin Compston (Line of Duty, Mayflies) and Aimée-Ffion Edwards (Slow Horses, Peaky Blinders) in the roles of Emily and Calum, BAFTA and Emmy Award Winner Meera Syal (Mrs Sidhu Investigates, The Kumars at No. 42) as Rita, Sharon Rooney (Barbie, Daddy Issues, Jerk) as Rachel, Douglas Henshall (Shetland, Who Is Erin Carter?) as Steve, Chaneil Kular (Sex Education, Protection) as Tej and Amit Shah (Mr Bates vs. The Post Office, Happy Valley) as Malcolm.

Also seen in the trailer are Niamh Walsh (Smother, Jamestown), Wil Coban (The Boys in the Boat, Origin), Christina Bennington (Halo, The Game), Eoin Duffy (The Dry, The Apprentice) and Aoife Kennan (Vera, The Dumping Ground).

Alison Jackson and Jess Connell executive produce for the UK division of Gaumont. Outside the UK & Ireland, the series is produced by Gaumont in association with Fremantle. The series was adapted for television by Gabbie Asher (The Girlfriend, Sanctuary, The Tattooist of Auschwitz) who also serves as an Executive Producer alongside J.D. Pennington, with episodes written by Matt Jones (The Split) and Adam Usden (Lupin).

Tim Kirkby (Don’t Forget the Driver, Fleabag) is the lead director alongside Daniel O’Hara (The Red King, Stay Close) and Margot Gavan Duffy serves as the producer. Fremantle is handling international sales.
