Pluto TV, the leading free streaming television service, has announced the launch of a brand new campaign, “House of Horror”, a multi-market initiative celebrating the horror genre with a massive expansion of content, channels, and fan experiences. The “House of Horror” campaign introduces a rich line-up of new and returning horror content available in multiple markets, including:

    • A new content deal with Lionsgate, bringing iconic horror franchises such as SAW, Leprechaun, and The Grudge, and Halloween (II & III) to Pluto TV audiences in many international markets
    • A brand-new exclusive season of the hit paranormal series Most Haunted in the UK
    • New channels dedicated to iconic horror sagas and sought-after subgenres such as zombies, creature features, haunted houses, and 80s horror

    MARKET-SPECIFIC PROGRAMMING

Each market will feature localized content and programming.

    • SAW Franchise – Cary Elwes, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Glover take on the Jigsaw killer as they play cruel games to escape. The iconic franchise has a dedicated channel from the start of October.
    • Leprechaun Franchise – Starring Harry Potter’s Warwick Davis, Friend’s star Jennifer Aniston and American rapper Ice-T, the American horror series centres on a malevolent and murderous leprechaun who resorts to any means necessary to protect and reclaim his gold. Watch the star-studded cast on its dedicated channel.
    • The Grudge Franchise – Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sarah Michelle Gellar, kicks off the franchise as she vows to stop any further mysterious deaths from a horrifying supernatural spirit. Available to watch only on the 15th September.
    • An American Werewolf in London – Pirates of the Caribbean’s David Schofield makes a cameo in this 80’s classic horror. Friends, Jack and David, lives are changed when Jack is killed by a huge wolf. As David grieves over his best friend, he’s tormented by Jack’s ghost warning him that he’s becoming a werewolf. Available to stream on demand from the 15th September.
    • Cabin Fever – Boy Meets World’s Rider Strong stars in this early 2000’s horror comedy. Strong and his friends rent a cabin in the woods and fall victim to an unknown flesh-eating disease and go to drastic measures to survive. Also available to stream on demand from the 15th September.
    • Halloween II – Fresh off the Summer of Horror, catch the second movie led by scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis as she continues her escape on from Ghost Face. Available to watch only on the 15th September.

These additions further solidify Pluto TV’s position as the go-to destination for horror fans worldwide.

Katrina Kowalski, Senior Vice President, International Content Strategy & Acquisitions at Pluto TV: “Horror has always had a passionate fanbase, but what we’re seeing now is a global surge in demand that spans generations, formats, and cultures. With House of Horror, we’re not just responding to that trend, we are part of it, curating the largest and most diverse horror offering in FAST space -all while staying true to Pluto TV’s promise: free, easy, and endlessly entertaining.”

    HORROR’S GLOBAL RISE

The horror genre is experiencing a global rise, particularly among younger audiences, but its appeal remains cross-generational. Moreover, from streaming and cinema to books and podcasts, horror is thriving across every format.
