Star Wars Celebration is always a gift. It’s a yearly gift where fans can share their passion with other fans and creators, and it’s also an opportunity for Disney and Lucasfilm to announce upcoming projects and new routes the franchise will be taking. We’ve had films, TV series, new action figures and books.
A fairly new avenue for the franchise recently has been Japanese manga, which seems absolutely fitting considering this year’s Celebration was taking place in Tokyo. At the “Lucasfilm Publishing: Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away ….” panel, we were bombarded with a lot of exciting content that’ll be hitting our stores in the future. One particularly exciting one for me personally was a Thrawn manga adaptation.
Man Tsang will be adapting Timothy Zahn’s Star Wars: Thrawn novel from 2017, which focuses heavily on Mitth’raw’nuruodo’s early history within the Empire, from being found on a deserted planet to being noticed by Emperor Palpatine himself.

As a long-time lover of Thrawn, I’m absolutely estatic about having more Thrawn content coming my way. However, there’s even more on the horizon, so let’s take a look at what else is instore for us Star Wars fans.
