Marvel Studios is now gearing up for its final push ahead of the May release of Thunderbolts*. Today we’re taking a look at a new featurette for the film just released by the team at IMAX. The film, directed by Jake Schreier, is currently slated to hit UK cinemas on May 1, 2025 before debuting in US theatres on May 2.
In the featurette Schreier as well as members of the film’s cast discuss shooting the film in IMAX and bringing the scale of Marvel’s latest adventure to the big screen. There’s plenty of behind-the-scenes footage as well as new shots from the film itself.

As is customary for a huge studio release, particularly one from Marvel Studios, the film’s US partners have all begun to release their own exclusive posters for the film. We’ve collected together some of the best below including IMAX, Real-D 3D, Dolby and more.
Bear in mind that these posters are from the US and so feature the May 2 release date. The film is still expected to drop in UK cinemas on May 1, 2025.
