Max has given fans a new tease of what is to come from the upcoming second season of Peacemaker thanks to a new promo. The streamer has revealed a new trailer showing off the rest of its 2025 slate which includes footage fromSex and the City spin-off And Just Like That, The Gilded Age, The Last of Us and a slew of new series and movies.
No release date for Peacemaker has been confirmed as yet. Whilst interacting with fans on social media, DC Studios head James Gunn has stated the season 2 is likely to follow on from Superman with mainly pointing to an August release date.
You can watch the full trailer below including new looks at a variety of Max series. Peacemaker footage is first glimpsed at the 0:10 mark and then returns for more at 1:13.
Little is known about the story of the upcoming second season. This footage does little to reveal the story of season 2. We see Christopher Smith (Jon Cena) escape a rather explosive situation before giving the camera a thumbs up. In later footage we get a brief montage of action before Adebayo (Danielle Brooks) exclaims “you’re a superhero now”.
Peacemaker, written and produced by James Gunn, stars John Cena, Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland and Freddie Stroma. Season 2 will also feature Frank Grillo, Tim Meadows, Sol Rodriguez and David Denman.
