Blue Finch Film Releasing has debuted the official trailer for hallucinatory SXSW hit Birdeater. The film comes to select UK cinemas on May 9 and releases on digital platforms on May 26, 2025.
The film is an uncompromising look at how Australia’s iconic masculine identity has become incompatible with modern society and premiered at SXSW before playing Sydney International Film Festival and Melbourne International Film Festival.

Recently engaged Irene has been invited to join her fiancé, Louie, and his friends on his bachelor party at an isolated house out in the sticks. As the festivities are plunged into drunken and substance-fuelled chaos, secrets begin to unravel, and the night soon becomes a feral nightmare.
