The mischievous blue devil is gearing up for his live-action debut by crashing into other Disney properties- something Stitch is already quite good at. To celebrate the upcoming release of Lilo & Stitch, which looks to introduce the cute and fluffy alien to a brand new modern audience, Disney released a bunch of posters that are both new and rather familiar.
Lilo & Stitch follows a lonely Hawaiian girl who unknowingly adopts an alien fugitive who has a healthy addiction to coffee and Elvis. Now, the live-action adaptation will inevitably change certain aspects, but we’re really hoping that the core components that put Stitch on the map remain the same. Only time will tell, but these posters are a good sign that Disney have gone back to Stitch’s roots.

In these brilliant posters, Stitch invades some well-known live-action Disney posters, including Aladdin, Beauty & The Beast, Snow White & Cinderella. This is a brilliant callback to the original animated film from 2002 in which Stitch actually invades scenes from certain movies- The Little Mermaid and Beauty & The Beast being the best of the bunch.
Lilo & Stitch is directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, with a screenplay by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes, and stars Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Chris Sanders, with Courtney B. Vance, and Zach Galifianakis, and introducing Maia Kealoha.
If you love Stitch as much as we do and can’t get enough of the little fuzzball, you can rewatch the live-action trailer below:
