Christian Wolff is back doing what he does best… Solving puzzles and beating up bad guys. After many, many years of waiting, we finally have a sequel to the 2016 film The Accountant. The sequel sees the return of Ben Affleck as the math wizard Christian Wolff and Jon Bernthal as Brax, Wolff’s brother. In this second round, the two are forced to work together to solve a series of puzzles to unearth a deep conspiracy.
As huge fans of the first movie, we are absolutely thrilled to see the return of Wolff. The Accountant was such a fun and epic ride that we didn’t really see coming, but wow! It’s a film that we can easily go back to, but that begs the question… Will this second film be able to hold its own? We certainly hope so. With a promising trailer and a mysterious poster dropped by Warner Bros, our excitement levels have elevated drastically. Now it’s just the torturous wait…
Synopsis
Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to “find the accountant,” Wolff is compelled to solve the case. Realizing more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother, Brax (Jon Bernthal), to help. In partnership with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.
