A couple of weeks back we brought you DC’s plans for its huge ‘Summer of Superman’ publishing initiative. Now the publisher has debuted another huge piece of variant cover artwork which will form part of 2025’s huge celebrations for the Man of Steel.
On April 18 DC will publish Action Comics #1 Golden Age–Size Facsimile Edition as part of the Superman Day celebrations. The new edition will feature an incredible homage cover by superstar artist Dan Mora which looks to both the past and future of the character. Recreating the original Action Comics #1 cover art, Mora has instead replaced the Golden Age Superman with David Corenswet’s interpretation from James Gunn’s upcoming Superman movie.

In celebration of Superman Day on April 18 (the 1938 publication date for the iconicAction Comics #1), DC has curated an epically heroic and heartwarming list of titles featuring the Man of Steel.
