Black Bear has revealed a brand new redband trailer for director Osgood Perkins’ next film, The Monkey, starring Theo James,Tatiana Maslany and Elijah Wood. The film will release in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on February 21, 2025.
When twin brothers Bill and Hal find their father’s old monkey toy in the attic, a series of gruesome deaths start. The siblings decide to throw the toy away and move on with their lives, growing apart over the years.

The film arrives hot on the heels of the huge success of Osgood Perkins’ Longlegs, also released by Black Bear. Longlegs, starring Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage, hit cinemas in July of this year and has taken audiences and critics by storm, becoming the UK’s highest-grossing independent horror of the last decade.
The film is based on the short story by Stephen King, produced by James Wan. It will be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on February 21, 2025
