Chaos is approaching, and it’s approaching quick. To celebrate the upcoming release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which sees the live-action debut of Shadow, Paramount Pictures released a brand new trailer and we’re genuinely surprised by how different this trailer frames the film. The previous trailer teased an alliance between Eggman and Sonic, whereas this trailer goes full throttle for a Shadow and Eggman and Eggman Senior team up. So, with that in mind… Does Shadow go rogue causing Eggman to temporarily change sides? Or is there something we’re missing… Something darker.
That’s enough theorising for now… Wasn’t that an amazing trailer? We were utterly blown away and the hype has skyrocketed. The visuals, the gags, but also the darker tone. It all looks absolutely fantastic, and it really looks as though this will be the best in the trilogy. That may be a tad premature, but we’re willing to bet that Sonic 3 is not only the best Sonic movie, but also one of the best video game adaptations.
Sonic the Hedgehog returns to the big screen this holiday season in his most thrilling adventure yet. Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before. With their abilities outmatched in every way, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance in hopes of stopping Shadow and protecting the planet.
Sonic The Hedgehog 3 will be speeding to UK cinemas on December 21st and you can grab your tickets on November 29th.

Director Jeff Fowler returns along with our all-star cast including Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Idris Elba, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub, newcomers Alyla Browne and Krysten Ritter, with Keanu Reeves joining the franchise as Shadow the Hedgehog.
