Finally. The first season of Andor premiered two years ago and with the promise of a second season, we were all left wondering… When will season two arrive? Well, we finally have our answer. Season two of Andor, which follows Cassian as he navigates life under the rule of the Empire, will arrive on Disney+ on April 22nd, 2025.
The upcoming season will consist of 12 episodes. These 12 episodes will then be split into three-episode chapters, with each chapter focusing on a different year of Cassian’s life before the events of Rogue One. With that, it’s very likely that the final episode of Season two will feature some heavy ties to Rogue One, the Erso family, and Krennic’s secret weapon.
This second season will see the return of Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn), Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker), Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) and Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgård). Of course, the biggest question on everyone’s mind… did Kino Loy make it back? Wouldn’t it be great to see Kino again? The chances are slim, but there’s a slither of hope.
While it is great to finally have a release date set in stone, it does feel like a lifetime away. But, just like the first season, we know that it’ll be worth the wait.
