This Wednesday, DC’s All In initiative continues with the release of Absolute Batman #2. The second issue of Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta’s brand new series looks set to push the rivalry between Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth to new heights. To celebrate the release, today we’re taking a look at the full cover gallery as well as brand new interior preview art.
Before we dive in to the artwork, here’s a look at the synopsis for issue #2: Batman was born out of violence – a horrible tragedy that shaped the trajectory of his future. But when a vigilant MI6 agent starts tracking the lonely life of Bruce Wayne, he discovers the interconnectivity between a hero’s shell life and the many layers of the Black Mask Gang. It’s Batman versus Alfred Pennyworth.
Main cover art for the second issue comes from series artist Nick Dragotta. Variant covers are by Dan Panosian, Jae Lee, Rafael Albuquerque, Jeffrey Alan and Sanford Greene. Here’s a look at each of the cover designs:
Interior artwork is by Dragotta with colours by Frank Martin and letters by Clayton Cowles. In readiness for Wedneday’s release DC has dropped a handful of preview pages which you can check out below. From here on in there’s a spoiler warning in effect… you have been warned!
Absolute Batman #2 will release in comic book stores and on digital platforms on November 13, 2024. It is available for pre-order at your local comic shop. Digital copies can be purchased from content providers, including Kindle, iBooks, and Google Play.
