    Celebrate BATMAN’s 85th Birthday as Warner Bros. UK Lays out 2024 BATMAN DAY Plans

    This coming Saturday we celebrate one of our favourite days of the year, Batman Day. This year marks 85 years since The Dark Knight first appeared in the pages of DC Comics. So accordingly, Warner Bros. is pulling out all the stops for this year’s celebrations.

    Earlier this week we visited the Batman Unmasked exhibition in London and will be bringing you our tour video very soon. Across the month the studio has also re-released a number of classic Bat-films in cinemas. Here’s a look at the studio’s full plans for Batman Day 2024:

    CELEBRATE 85 YEARS OF BATMAN!

    • In the 85th year since Batman’s creation, Batman Day returns on 21st September 2024 for a global celebration of the much-loved DC Super Hero.
    • For a limited run, fans can visit the 5-star rated and hotly anticipated Batman Unmasked: The Exhibition in Covent Garden, London from 6th September, bringing together a never seen before collection of original props, vehicles and costumes.
    • Fans across the UK can enjoy the cinematic experience of Batman on the big screen, with cinemas offering screenings of hit films; The LEGO Batman Movie, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, The Batman and The Dark Knight Trilogy.

    In the 85th year since Batman first appeared in comics, Batman Day 21st September 2024 will be a global celebration of the much-loved DC Super Hero, with an incredible selection of content and activities worldwide. 

    Batman is one of the most iconic characters in the world and is recognised across the globe, with his first appearance 85 years ago in 1939’s Detective Comics #27 created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. Returning for the 10th year running, Batman Day is celebrated the third Saturday of September every year, where fans around the world gather to celebrate their love of one of the most enduring characters in popular culture. UK fans can join in the celebrations with a range of activities to celebrate the iconic Caped Crusader.

    Fans can visit the hotly anticipated Batman Unmasked: The Exhibition, opening tomorrow, 6th September in London’s iconic Covent Garden. Open for a limited run, the 5-star rated and hotly anticipated Batman Unmasked: The Exhibition brings together a never seen before collection of original props, vehicles and costumes. Following a successful Manchester run with 35,000 guests over 6 weeks, you can book tickets today at Batman Unmasked Exhibition in London (batmanexhibition.com). Other UK activities include character visits at The Entertainer and monthly exclusive promo drops on the WB shop. 

    The Caped Crusader will return to the big screen throughout the UK, with Odeon, Vue, Cineworld, Picturehouse and Showcase all showing The LEGO Batman Movie, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, The Batman and The Dark Knight Trilogy.     Younger fans of the Caped Crusader can experience face painting at Hamleys on the 22nd September at the Regent St store and a costume character visit at the Westfield store.
